The Beenders-Walker Group (TBWG) offers a broad range of capabilities in developing and implementing successful public relations and effective destination marketing campaigns.  In addition, our expertise in creative communications and legislative issue campaigns, combined with our years of experience in serving a variety of clients, make TBWG an ideal partner to support our clients’ goals.


Our clients can rely on TBWG to create and execute wide-ranging Public Relations efforts.  In fact, Public Relations is either the chief element or a significant component of our work for virtually every client.  We work to create a positive public perception of our clients utilizing all media platforms – print, broadcast, Internet, etc.

For our clients, we develop and maintain press kits; write and distribute news releases; arrange media interviews for client spokespersons; coordinate press conferences; initiate frequent contact with hundreds of working journalists and maintain personal relationships; participate as members of media associations; conduct media “blitzes”; create promotional campaigns; and track/monitor the effectiveness of P.R. efforts.


Arguably our strongest area of expertise is Destination Marketing.  Our years of effort on behalf of clients such as the Tri-County Lodging Association at the Lake of the Ozarks, the Lebanon area in south-central Missouri and the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area in Alabama provide a proven record of successful marketing.

For destination clients, TBWG provides services including brochure development; branding and logo development; coordinating professional media-friendly inbound group press trips and customized individual press trips; writing/distributing news releases and story ideas; developing/maintaining press kits; advertising production (print and electronic); media relations; planning/conducting media blitzes; and creating/executing unique promotional campaigns.


Creativity is the key to TBWG’s effectiveness in serving its clients.  We have provided Creative Communications for a diverse group of clients such as the Missouri Division of Highway Safety, the city of Kennett (Mo.), the Missouri Department of Health, and the Missouri Association of Private Career Colleges and Schools.

Services, such as direct-mail postcard campaigns focusing on fascinating facts, help build positive awareness for our clients among key audiences.  We have featured children as effective messengers in multi-media safe-driving campaigns (“Save a Grown-up”) for the Missouri Division of Highway Safety.  Electronic media were a major feature of campaigns to combat underage drinking (“Underage=Unprepared”) for the Missouri Division of Highway Safety and in support of the Missouri Department of Health’s telephone line for maternal, child and family health services (Tel-Link).


TBWG has crafted Legislative Issues campaigns on both the state and national level.  In these campaigns, our work focused on promoting grass-roots efforts in support of issues or programs.  We have been called upon to mold public opinion and educate legislators about their constituents’ needs and wants. 

We have assisted clients with efforts in support of issues such as stronger enforcement of safety belt laws, better oversight on importation of prescription drugs, and mandatory health insurance coverage for diabetes supplies.  We also have coordinated special events held annually to build goodwill between our clients and government leaders – “Capitol Day” events involving visits with legislators, exhibits and other activities spotlighting our clients.
